With Web sites and blogs, the work is never done. You are always tweaking and updating. It’s quite exhausting. In PR, we recommend you get out there and start blogging, but I think it’s important to keep in mind that blogging is a commitment. Once you get the site up, the work really just begins. In that sense, my work is beginning.

As a PR consultant, sometimes it’s easy to put everyone else’s promotion ahead of my own. But I’ve finally got my act together and redesigned my blog. Special thanks to Amber Karnes, Web designer and blogger extraordinaire, who I am constantly scheming with when it comes to social media. She’s one of the many talented people I have the privilege to work with through Reina Communications.

The next steps after a redesign? Promote it. Stay tuned for ideas on how to do just that. In the meantime, I’m still ironing out a few kinks. What do you think so far?

Launched last week, it’s simply a rotating look at the live Skittles entries on social media sites, such as Flickr, Wikipedia and Twitter. It certainly generated a lot of buzz for Skittles in the last week on Twitter.
